About Our Flotilla

Flotilla 15-01 West Annapolis is part of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Division 15, 5th Southern Region. The Flotilla meets at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month (except December), currently at the West Annapolis Fire Station.

 

Who We Are

Thomas Point Lighthouse on The Chesapeake Bay - A Major Navigation Point in our Patrol AreaThe current strength of our Flotilla is 64. Our members include both women and men with ages ranging from 17 to 80. from the greater Annapolis area.

Our Auxiliarists actively patrol Annapolis area waterways and regularly meet with the boating public at marinas and in classrooms.

As a civilian, non-military component of the U.S. Coast Guard, we directly support all of the U.S. Coast Guard's missions except military and law enforcement actions.

In addition, we also serve side-by-side with active duty members of the Coast Guard at their stations such as Coast Guard Station Annapolis

Mission Statement

The mission of Flotilla 15-01 West Annapolis is to leverage our resources in the most effective manner to deliver a superior level of service to our customers including the United States Coast Guard, our Auxiliary members, and the boating public.

We will focus our efforts in our traditional cornerstones of member services, recreational boating safety, Coast Guard and state support, and fellowship. We will provide additional support in non-traditional roles to the best of our ability.

We will listen to, actively engage, and assist our customers in protecting, people, property, and the marine environment while maximizing our support in their prevention, preparedness, and response roles.

Recognizing that our people are our number one resource, we will endeavor to educate, train, develop leadership and management skills at all levels and advance their safety and well being.

We will be committed to the Coast Guard values of: Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty

To help make Annapolis boating safer for all, Flotilla 15-01 West Annapolis is constantly looking for qualified members. United States citizens 17 years of age and older without a felony conviction may join the Auxiliary.
